App Language vs. AI Language: Language Settings in the Safina App

Understand the important distinction: this guide explains where to change the language of the Safina app interface and where to configure the voice and language of your AI assistant.

When you work with Safina, you’re moving through two “language worlds”: one is the app interface you use. The other is the voice your callers hear on the phone.

These two settings are separate from each other. That gives you maximum flexibility, but it’s an important distinction to understand. We’ll explain where to adjust what.

The app language: your user interface

This setting only affects the text you see inside the Safina app. It changes the language of menus, buttons and descriptions.

It has no influence on the language your Safina speaks with callers. So you could, for example, use the app in English while your AI assistant greets your customers in German.

How to change the app language:

  2. Select the menu entry “App Language”.   3. Pick your preferred language from the list and confirm the selection. The app will switch over immediately.

The AI language: what your callers hear

This is the configuration of your assistant’s actual voice. Here you decide how Safina sounds on a phone call and which language she speaks.

You’ll find these important settings in your assistant’s configuration hub.

How to adjust the language and voice of the AI:

  1. Go to the “Safina AI” tab in the bottom menu bar. Screenshot of the Safina AI app settings. The "Speech Behavior" option (Language, voice and tonality) is highlighted in green.   2. Scroll down to the “Speech Behavior” section.   3. Here you’ll find all the relevant options:
    • Language: Choose the primary language in which Safina should greet callers. Safina can also automatically recognize other languages during a call and switch if needed.
    • Voice: Pick one of the available voices.
    • Tonality: Decide whether your assistant should address callers formally or in a more casual tone.

Summary: where do I change what?

  • Want to change the app menus? -> Go to “Profile”.
  • Want to change the voice your callers hear? -> Go to “Safina AI”.

This separation makes sure you can use the app the way that works best for you, while your assistant stays perfectly tailored to your callers.
